2008 Game Four - Arizona State Preview

Information Overload
Another even year, another ugly win in Columbia. Looking back it’s pretty easy to see that we should’ve expected nothing else but to go over there and struggle. A win is a win and while it wasn’t pretty, it beats the heck out of the alternative. Now we head out west for our first regular season game outside the south since the Ming dynasty according to most media members. It should be a fun one on national TV.

About the SC Game

It was ugly and it was a win.

2008 Game Three - South Carolina Preview

Information Overload
After another tune-up week we now hit the meat of the schedule. This week we head to Columbia, a place we rarely play well, to face a team looking to bounce back from an embarassing loss on national TV to Vandy. We look like we’re rounding in to shape but that’s been the case numerous times over there.

About the CMU Game

Honestly that game went about as well as could reasonably be expected.

2008 Game Two - Central Michigan Preview

Information Overload
Well, the final score wasn’t exactly representative of the way we dominated that game. Up 38-0 late, we gave up some late TDs against our backups to end with a somewhat underwhleming yet still convincing 45-21 win. It ended up being a very similar score to the 48-28 victory in 2004. Up next is a team with a scary offense and defense in Central Michigan. Scary good offense, scary bad defense.

2008 Game One - Georgia Southern Preview

Well, it’s here…no need to say much here, we’re #1 in the country. If we can somehow pull off a 14-game win streak we’ll have a lovely crystal football as a parting gift. Is that too much to ask? According to national pundits if we win out we might play our way into the NFC playoffs due to our schedule strength, but a team bred in the heat of the SEC and particularly the SEC-East if nothing else should be ready for a tough schedule.
