Easter coincides with the halfway point of the SEC baseball schedule. Week 5 results include road teams winning most of the weekend series and the first game lost to weather this season.

Sunday scores and weekend results

Vandy at Ark. – cancelled, rain (Vandy 2/2 on road)
Ole Miss 6, SC 1 (SC 2/3 on road)
UGA 5, Ky 4 (UGA road sweep)
Fla 5, Aub 1 (Fla 2/3 on road)
Miss St 10, Tenn 9 (Tenn 2/3)
LSU 12, Bama 7 (LSU 2/3 on road)

SEC East:

UGA 11-4
Fla 9-6
Vandy 7-7
SC 7-8
Ky 4-11
Tenn 3-12

SEC West:

Ark. 10-4
LSU 10-5
Ole Miss 9-6
Bama 7-8
Aub. 7-8
MSU 4-11

April 17-19 games:

Ark at UGA
Bama at Vandy
Aub. at SC
Ole Miss at Fla
Tenn at LSU
Ky at Miss St.

NOTES:

Road teams dominated this week. The only home team to win its series was Tennessee, in the battle of division cellar-dwellars. That’s even with Miss. St. taking the church league softball special on Sunday.

The scramble continues for the last spots at Hoover. Right now, three teams (SC, Bama and Aub.) are tied at 7-8 for the last two spots and Vandy is only 1/2 game ahead of that group.
