Lady Bulldogs Notch 750th All-Time Win
“Angel Robinson certainly played well," head coach Andy Landers said. "I particularly liked the way she hit the offensive boards in the first half; that’s really the thing that spread apart the scores. The other thing that was neat to see was Christy Marshall penetrating, drawing Angel’s man, then finding Angel with a pass and Angel being able to detach and finish on the play.”
Ashley Houts chipped in 13 points and Danielle Taylor added 10 off the bench.
Robinson scored six points in a quick 8-0 run midway through the first half that gave Georgia distance on the scoreboard it never relinquished. She started the surge with a layup at the 12:14 mark and completed addition layins at the 10:38 and 10:03 mark. The last bucket put the Lady Bulldogs up 19-8.
After the teams traded baskets, Georgia moved ahead by double-digits for good on a Marshall jumper with 8:51 left in the half.
The Lady Bulldogs led by 19 points at the half and never allowed the Lady Bucs within 17 points after the break. The lead topped out at 27 points with 3:06 left before ETSU finished on a 9-2 run.
Georgia returns to action on Wednesday when the Lady Bulldogs host Tennessee Tech, Andy Landers' alma mater, at Stegeman Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. That game will be Georgia's fifth in an eight-day span.
