Bulldog Hotline - Sept. 27, 2010

Hotline Reports
Coach Richt faced more tough questions tonight and got a compliment for sounding mad. Georgia fell to 0-3 in the SEC for the first time since 1993 after being whipped by Miss. St. 24-12 in Starkville last Saturday. The trip to Colorado comes this weekend (7:00, FSN South). Also, Georgia returns to “exile” for the Tennessee game in Athens on Oct. 9 (12:20, SEC network).

How I would have ended LOST (non-Dawg)

Viewpoints
I've been meaning to type this up for a few months now, but I finally have a few minutes to write it down. Thanks to Kristen for giving me the idea for this with our discussion on Facebook right after the series finale. I guess it's appropriate that I'm posting this on the anniversary of LOST airing 6 yrs ago.

Yes, this probably has spoilers, so if you haven't seen LOST all the way through, don't read it. And maybe someone else out there has come up with this same kind of storyline?

So how would *I* have ended LOST? I've had a couple of people ask. When I watched the finale, I was OK with it, but as time has passed, there were just some things about the Island itself that were not explained or summed up enough for my taste. This finale could keep the majority of Season 6 intact, but there would need to be one major rewrite that I'll get to later.

I would have kept the Island "timeline" exactly the same, especially at the end - Desmond would have unplugged the light hole in the cave, Jack would have had his final Mortal Kombat showdown with Flocke and have gotten wounded, and then Kate would have taken out Flocke since he was now mortal due to the light hole being unplugged. Delete the scene where Jack passes the cup to Hurley, though. Jack goes back into the light cave, plugs up the hole, and then passes out.

PhotobucketHOWEVER... at the final scene, instead of having a close up of Jack closing his eyes, just fade out where you see Jack lying down and Vincent next to him. Then - cut to a close up of Jack's eye opening (just like the very beginning of LOST).

Bulldog Hotline - Sept. 20, 2010

Hotline Reports
Concerns, and even traces of panic, were evident in Bulldog Nation on tonight’s call in show. Georgia’s last minute 31-24 loss to Arkansas last Saturday left UGA 0-2 in the SEC for the first time in 17 years. Questions this evening included two on the state of the program. Coach Richt is most concerned with getting our first SEC win of the season – which hopefully comes vs. Miss. St. in Starkville this Saturday (7:00, FSN South). Even though this is only a summary (not a complete transcription) I hope I got everything in, given the overall mood of us fans.

Bulldog Hotline - Sept. 13, 2010

Coach Richt addressed tough questions and key issues tonight, after Georgia was manhandled by South Carolina 17-6 in Columbia last Saturday. The manhandling was led by Carolina frosh RB Marcus Lattimore, with 182 yards on 37 carries, which included numerous broken tackles.

Bulldog Hotline - Sept. 6, 2010

Hotline Reports
The first Bulldog Hotline of the 2010 season follows Georgia’s season-opening 55-7 rout over La.-Lafayette. Based on approximately 11 min. of network feed lost in the middle of the show, someone at ISP needs to run extra wind sprints this week. Next up for the Dawgs is the annual early season showdown vs. South Carolina, 12 noon Saturday in Columbia, on ESPN2.
