2008 Football Spring Outlook

From GeorgiaDogs.com: The Sugar Bowl victory was just a few minutes old when the talk began about the 2008 prospects for the Georgia football team.

The talk of a national championship run in 2008 was understandable. The Bulldogs finished with an 11-2 record, closing as one of the nation’s hottest teams, and wound up ranked No. 2 in the final APpoll and third in the final USA Today/Coaches poll. Moreover, the Bulldogs will be returning 15 of the 22 starters from the Sugar Bowl squad that rolled up a 31-point victory over Hawai’i.

Reserved Seat Tickets Still Available for Men’s Basketball vs. Florida

From GeorgiaDogs.com: Less than 1,000 reserved seat tickets remain for this Wednesday’s matchup between the Bulldogs and Florida with tip-off set for 7:30pm at Stegeman Coliseum.
Reserved seat tickets are $15 each and are available by calling the Athletic Association’s Ticket Office toll-free 1-877-542-1231 between 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and online www.georgiadogs.com .

UGA Student Tickets are $2 each and will be on sale at the following times and locations on campus.

Need help on the anti-Gator tag bill in the General Assembly...

From BigDaddyDawgBreath on the DawgVent: I am one of the Dawgs who is working with Rep. Barry Fleming and Sen. Eric Johnson to pass the bill in the General Assembly to stop the Gator tag since they dont allow a UGA tag in Florida.
However, the Gator Club is pushing back hard and swamping legislators with emails against the tag. Only 2 UGA fans have emailed in support of the bill.

From GeorgiaDogs.com: ATHENS, Ga. --- Opening Day at Foley Field is almost here as Georgia enters its final weekend of intra-squad scrimmages before the first pitch against top-ranked Arizona.
The Bulldogs will scrimmage at 5 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, which are the same times as the opening series against the Wildcats Feb. 22-24. On Friday, six Bulldog pitchers are slated to see action. Junior Trevor Holder and freshman Justin Grimm will start with Justin Earls, Joshua Fields, Steve Esmonde and Ryan Woolley appearing in relief.

Athletic Board Approves Ticket Price Increase And Butts-Mehre Expansion

From GeorgiaDogs.com: ATHENS, Ga. --- Funds for the planning stage of an expansion of Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall and an increase in football ticket prices from $32.00 to $40.00 were approved by the University of Georgia Athletic Association Board of Directors at its regular quarterly meeting Thursday in Athens.
