Landers Earns Win No. 700 As Lady Dogs Roll Past Florida

From GeorgiaDogs.com: GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Andy Landers secured his 700th victory at Georgia on Thursday night and Ashley Houts and Tasha Humphrey made sure it was a win he would not soon forget. The No. 17-ranked Lady Bulldogs (16-3, 3-2) started quickly and rolled to an 82-55 win over Florida (13-6, 2-2).


Houts poured in a career-high 25 points -- 21 of those in the first half when she single-handedly scored as many points as the Gators -- and Humphrey added 23 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

Gym Dogs Set Season Ticket Sales Record; Single Tickets Selling Fast

From GeorgiaDogs.com: With the 2008 Gymnastics season underway, the three-time defending national champion Georgia Gym Dogs have set a new season ticket sales record with 6,836 sold to date surpassing the previous record of 6,043 set last year.Individual meet tickets are selling at a brisk pace also. Less than 1,100 tickets remain for the home opener vs. LSU on Saturday, January 26 and fewer than 1,200 tickets remain for the UCLA meet on Saturday, March 15.

LSU climbed to the top of The Associated Press college football poll for the third time this season, winning its second title after beating Ohio State 38-24 in the BCS national championship game Monday night.
"This truly is a great team," LSU coach Les Miles said. "There may be more talented ... but this is the best team."
