2007 Game Nine - Troy Preview

Information Overload
That thing that’s on your face in early November is a smile. I tell you that because it took me a while to figure it out too. It’s all too rare that we get to smile this time of year. I like it. We should try it more often. A huge win (like old times) in Jacksonville coupled with several losses around us puts us at the top of the SEC East (1/2 game up on UT) and has scooted us up to the top 10 in the polls. Oh happy day. This week we get a dangerous out of conference opponent that has caused some teams some trouble this year so we’ll have to get the focus back and put the hammer down.

Hotline Reports
Lots of fun on tonight’s call-in show, following Georgia’s thrilling 42-30 win over Florida in Jacksonville on Saturday. Homecoming against a dangerous Troy team looms on Saturday. Interestingly, Coach Richt’s own personal celebration with wife (and head water girl) Katharyn got as much attention as the team celebration – which has been the talk of college football the last two days. I’ll give it a PG-13 rating (barely).

2007 Game Eight - Florida Preview

Information Overload
The week off was well-timed. For once we’ll take a shot at getting the off-week heading into Jacksonville and see how that affects us. UF’s had the off week every year seemingly except for 2004 (hey, we won that one) so hopefully we can parlay that to a win. As crazy as this college football season is, I’m afraid to make any statements about what I expect to see. It’s just too random.
